breaking news regarding a shooting in washington d.c.. >> this shooting, have you heard anything about injuries? >> we believe that the female victim has died. that has not been confirmed. this is based on information we are getting from our crew at the scene. this happening at nicholson street and fifth in northwest washington. that is in the brentwood neighborhood. the call came in around -- bay say there was a woman shot in the head and not breathing. based on the crews who are there, they believe this is a fatality. the victim is located along a sidewalk in front of a bus stop. police not seeing any information about the woman's identity. we are looking to get some more information.

14 in frederick. widespread teens to start the day. high temperatures this afternoon met and upper 20's. we will finally get above freezing by this weekend briefly. maybe here and there on saturday but especially sunday. notice the unorganized and widely scattered snow here from northern minnesota through the great lakes region and onto the south and parts of kentucky. that is all slowly pushing our way. that will make it here this afternoon and on to the early evening effecting the drive home. we will have a light coating of snow later on this day from the system. it's like the last one. the accumulation will vary. it will not be exactly the same everywhere. overall on average around 1 inch. 25-30 for the high temperature. here are my odds entrants a snowfall chances. we will see between one-quarter

you can see what appears to be a fireball. that is because one of the engines caught on fire. 142 people were on board. the pilot quickly activated the fire extinguishing year. he declared emergency and asked everyone to put seatbelts on and landed the plane safely at an airport not too far from an istanbul. this is video you are seeing from inside the plane from a passenger who happen to be sitting next to the engine. the good news this morning as the plane landed safely and nobody was hurt. >> thank you jummy. we went to bring you some breaking news from northwest d.c. fifth and nicholson street. we know that one person has been shot and police sources are telling us that is a woman. that woman has now died. >> more of this breaking news
